a weekly photo collaboration, inspired by brian andreas' stories. especially this one.

week 4.

My great-grandmother sent us out to pick raspberries in her garden while she watched the first moon walk on TV. You'll have plenty of time to see things like that, she said, but those raspberries were carried overland by your great-great-grandfather. She was very wise. I see pictures of the moon walk all the time, but all I have left from him is the memory of those sun-warmed raspberries.

week 2.

My favorite time
of day is just at dark
when all thoughts of
what must get done
stop

          & small pools of light
          come alive on
          tired faces
          everywhere

If you hold on to the handle, she said, it's easier to maintain the illusion of control. But it's more fun if you just let the wind carry you.
